International Exhibition of Modern and Contemporary ArtHerno Award – third edition

In occasion of miart 2017 Herno’s Award celebrates the second edition of exhibition making and display concept. The prize will be awarded to the stand with the best-designed exhibition, staged and made with attention to all the details, it wants to underline the new display concept, focusing on shared values. The research for absolute quality and know-how that are the basis of the best contemporary art and a product manufacturing excellence are only a necessary starting point, which must then be followed by an equally important ability to expose and capture 'attention, creating a perfect balance between creativity, aesthetics, functionality and usability. In this way, the Herno Award has parallel the objective of highlight the role - both historical and contemporary - the gallery as a place of production of knowledge through the format of the exhibition.

Milan, 31st March 2017 - The international jury of Herno award – with Suzanne Cotter (Director, Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto), Anne Pontégnie ( free curator, Le Consortium, Dijon – Cranford Collection, Londra ) and Nicolaus Schafhausen (Direttore, Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna) – has announced the name of the gallery that won the third edition of the award. The award is 10.000 €. The winner is the Anthony Reynolds Gallery from London, with the personal exposition of Lucy Harvey, rewarded for the ambition, the installation concept’s quality and the capability to tell, through an exhibition space, a complex artistic activity which is strongly related to the artist’s life.
